Thanks ice, ill have a go through the reverse light switch first, i may be able to get a top selector unit from a mate but it'll cost me, so will see how we go.


Is there anything that can be done to prevent this from happening again ??

I thought it may be as easy as changing the hubs and backing plates and stuff but if its too hard ill leave the drums in, they work well but just a pain for maint thats all

60 Drums to 80 Disc's

Hi guys...just having a think what maybe involved with bolting up rear 80 disc brakes to the rear of a 60 to replace drum brakes.

Has anyone done this...is it easy and straight forward...what is actually needed to complete the conversion.

Any help and or ideas, suggestions would be great.

Switch is around $12 and the cover is $6 you should get change out of a $20.
I just bought all 3 switches for my lockers

Do not use the holes on the bottom of the bar unless manufacturer states they are snatch points. I seen pics of those eyes letting go and the shackle embeding itself into a new spare on the back just the other week. My local arb dealer said the holes with the reinforced backing is fine for recovery ...

Mate...i have a 62 and am about to fit some lockers and i think its a case of finding room where you will be happy having them....

Thanks guys... im just a bit unsure cos i think the looms i have are pretty old and the diagrams are running differant coloured wires.

I had a noise like that with my cruiser i pulled the speedo cable out and oiled it...worked for awhile then the cable ended up snapping

Hey... how did you go with ya springs ??? I got the same as you but the dakkar version and they sagged really bad in the front having duel batts and winch... i took them back and they added an extra leaf which brought them to a deisal speck and now they have sagged... also the sleave pressed in the ...
