Hi
I had a cork gasket but it leaked on my auto sump/pan so i tried silicone which leaked too. I may have filled it too soon tho (about 24hr, pretty cold down here) but have noticed that the holes are pushed out so there is more pressure around the bolt holes than between.
Will fix this but wanted ...

so for doing what i want (up to 5-6mm) the 170 is probably the go?
people say go mig, go mig, but i dont think there is a point.
a gasless mig might be handy for doing sheet work if that is ever needed, but its only a possibility, definately need some sliders!!

Just went to the local wleding supply sotre and they currently have these on special for $480 inc GST, or the one with the tig attatchment for $900. Not looking at that one tho.
Any idea what thickness this would weld, min to max?
Would there be a reason to look at a gasless mig instead?

I had an hour or so to have a look at the wiring. thought that it was all looking good and I should be able to get it sorted.
no such luck. none of the wiring matches up with the diagram I have been trying to use. I have checked against the add relay, the wiring is not matching the pin outs ...

yeah you might be right russ. this way i assume that I will need the sensors on the front diff connected. that should be easy enough.
I was thinking that the transfer would be a more reliable option, but might not be as easy as bolting the new one on by the sound of it.
