Re: LPG Gas issues
Renzo landis have a common problem where they leak gas from the control solenoid mounted in the centre of the converter. They can leak enough to empty the converter so there is very little gas available when needing to accelerate, hence the stalling under accelaration. It is easy to check by ...

Re: D90 Lpg tank cost?
Do you need a D90 or a D90N? D90N is more commonly available and it has the brackets welded to it.
I do have a unbracketed D90 which needs testing, has some surface rust but I think should pass.

I have a 4.3 chev V6 in my Hiace and it used to have the original 4.3 which used to rev way to hard at freeway speeds. I changed the centre to a 3,78 from a V6 hilux which bolted straight in. I was told that that was the tallest ratio available as a bolt in centre and not aware if a 3.5 exists . It ...

A few years ago I bought an A Frame & braking system from the US to tow my GQ behind my bus which is a 10 ton Hino with air brakes. The braking system consists of an air ram that attaches onto the seat base in the towed vehicle and pushes the brake pedal. It is supposed to have enough force to push ...

For any LPG complaints you can contact the AAFRB who responsible for licensing LPG installers throughout Australia. Lately I have actually heard of some licences being temporarily suspended after customers have lodged numerous complaints. I would take the car back and give the fitter a chance to ...

Looks like the tank is missing the Solenoid/ plunger assy and also the inlet and outlet fittings. That tank has been retested but it is possibly due for its 2nd one? The gauge sender on that one will run a standard 90 ohm style gauge and they are available in a lot of types including Nissan in-dash ...

Sidek multivalves certainly don't blow up. With most multivalve tanks when they need retesting , the entire valve is replaced due to the fact that the relief valve can't be serviced. There are a couple of exceptions with some multivales having a removable relief valve. Check the date on your tank to ...

Thanks gatta, I don't claim to be an expert in LPG even though I have been involved in the gas industry for 20+ yrs. There always seems to be new unsolved problems cropping up. What the other guys mentioned has just about covered all the facts with hooking up twin tanks. With the leanout issue I ...

I have a GU tank from what I was told was from a 4.8 petrol model, bolted straight into a 90 GQ . So yes, the mountings are all the same as well as the filler neck. The non-EFI sender/ pickup unit also bolted into the same hole as where the fuel pump / sender was in the GU. The almost new GU had a ...

I have a 9000 lb Milemarker on a GQ patrol TD4.2, hooked up to its power steering hoses. Donut tanks apart from very late models all come with a single multivalve which do cost $220 + to test. The complete valve is replaced with a good quality Australian made multi valve with a more conventional 90ohm sender which lets you use a good range of gauges. A lot of older donut tanks used a ...
