Re: What have i done?

I did it. I bought a Rangie. Everyone here is laughing at me. I probably deserve it too, I know jack about em. Its a 92 RR "Sherwood" limited edition. 3.9 & 4spd auto. Absolutely standard. Now, where did I put that grinder..... You can't cut up a Sherwood. I'll swap it for an '84 auto with a 350 ...

I ran 35x12.5 on 7's for a while, infact those rims still have 33x12.5 on them.

They have held the bead well and drive ok.

Having said all that, it is not recommended.

The GQ end is easy, I have run everything on them pretty much.

On the 80's, I have only run 16" GUII alloys so I can't really comment. Patrol have less offset than 80 rims, my alloys keep 315x75x16 under the flares, the GQ rims sat about1/2 inch outside.

Have a think about running polyairs in all 4 springs for when you need that little bit of extra height. Here are some pics of my Rangie with 38x13x16's. 1.5" B/L and 2" spring lift + polyairs. http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g228/Maggot4x4/My%20Rangie%20Pics/Img2006.jpg http://i57.photobucket.com ...

it would be a lt85 5 speed, heaps weaker than the 4 speed. if you ever see them side by side you will know why. Saying that, it may never give you any troubles if it has been treated nicely, and oils changed regulary. They have a tendency of popping out of 2nd gear when you back off ( well mine ...

New Light Bar

Spent this weekend fitting up a new light bar (among other things), managed to get my 4 LF240's up there. The Middle 2 are HID's with clear covers, the outside two are Blitz with combo covers. People say with lights on the roof it shines on the bonnet, I can say I can't see it being a problem. Here ...

Apparently you can adapt a D2 bar to fit. Have seen a D2 ARB Sahara bar on a P38a and it looked sweet.

Also C44F (aka Brooksy) is looking into making these, send him a PM.

16's will fit, not sure about 15's but they may.
