Hey all, did a search but couldnt come up with anything. Looking at a 2.4 deisel lux, dont know much about these motors, and just want some info on things to be wary of, and problems with these motors. Thanks in advance.

reason im asking, is that im going to put a ls2 in, so i dont care about the engine or overall condition of the body, as long as the drive line is ok.

Wanna buy a gq, and want to make it an extra cab, am i better off getting a ute or wagon, I would like to get a wagon as there cheap as chips compared to a ute, but am unsure regarding how i go about re registering and rwc the wagon cut down to the extra cab. Any help would be muchly appreciated ...

yeah they are great, i actually have a air operated nutsert gun. its screws the nutsert onto the end of the gun automatically, and bang with a push of the trigger it sqeezes them, also can set it for different thicknesses of material. Very expensive tho, but a great tool.

get a piece of alloy of the size and thickness you want to make the fairlead, alloy is soft enough to use a router on it, just gotta be careful and go slow, use lots of lube, like crc or similar, ive made a couple of them already with no probs, just gotta buy the piece of alloy.

They do make block huggers for the vt, but still require mods to make them miss the engine mounts, not much tho, just a matter of cutting about an inch below the collector, and running a 2 1/2 pipe off it.
