brake problem with 94 GQ

I have just finished a holiday at Honeymoon bay and the dirt road was terribly corrugated. Now I always put the 94 GQ into 4 wheel high when travelling this dirt road but this time I drove over it I had trouble with the brakes in that I had to pump the brake pedal to get the brakes to work. Hey Bogged,
I was in park and I just checked the instructions on changing from 4WH to 4WL and I am a bloody idiot. I am going to have to get out into the bush more often than I currently am (once a year).
Thanks for the sutle kick in the pants I need that every now and then.

Do you know someone who has a manual? If so, see if they will let your wife have a test drive in a manual, maybe then she might like the auto. This might be a cheaper alternative.
My GQ is an auto and runs great ( except for the 4WL problem).

G'day everyone its been a while since I was last on. I have a 94 GQ with 194k on the clock and I had to tighten the front wheel bearings, this I did with no drama's. So I went to engage 4WH to make sure I put the manual wheel locks back on properly and again no drama's. But when I tried to engage ...

RoadNazi,
Many thanks for the info. I think I'll go for these new ones instead of what Dave did (sorry Dave but thanks anyway).

Tail Lights for 94GQ(RX)

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie to this site as well as the world of 4WD's. I purchased a 94 GQ(RX) Diesel with aftermarket turbo, auto, 180k on the clock, 6 months ago and have been more happier that a pig in s**t. After some minor repairs(replace exhaust manifold nuts and bolts, front wheel bearings ...
