Re: best budget diffs GU vs 80 vs MOG vs D60
A standard D60 should be cheap, millions of them have been produced over the years...so they aren't worth very much. The availability of aftermarket bits for the D60 spec diffs is a big part of the attraction - there are uprated aftermarket equivalents for just about every component, including ...

Give these guys a call - http://www.johdampet.com.au/yukon/
When I spoke to them last week they had one late model 14b in stock, and several older units.
I bought an 1985 14b from them last year and did the shave/truss thing to it.

The late model 14b is a good option - you can pick up a late model 14b including all the disc brake hardware for less than $500 in Australia.

Re: JK 2.8L CRD reliability.
If/when you do need engine parts, then there is a reasonable service network for VM-Motori that are able to supply at sensible prices - Chrysler's parts prices are largely a work of fantasy...

GU ABS Sensors
Has anyone had any experience with the ABS tone rings and sensors in the GU Axles? - I'm trying to find out how many teeth there are in the tone rings? - What sort of sensors are used? - Would it be possible to change the tone rings for other parts with different numbers of teeth? Maybe you've ...

Engineer didn't bat an eyelid at the replacement arms on my 2dr JK - nor the 35" tyres. He didn't like the offset of the aftermarket rims though - busted the limits for extending the track width, so I had to go back to the stock rims. 4.5" lift seems to be the max limit for the JK as the headlights ...

Strap the tyres to the trailer bed - do the ratchets up nice and tight and the tyres will keep the whole thing under tension and stop it working loose during the trip. If you want to get fancy then use a shackle or d-ring to loop the ratchet round the front and back of the tyre before tying it down ...

Body Lift for NM/NP Pajero?
I have been wondering about attempting a small body lift on my NP Paj by spacing the suspension subframes away from the rest of the monocoque by a couple of inches. The front subframe incorporates all of the engine mounts, so in effect the entire drivetrain would drop relative to the rest of the ...

In theory any fuel that you make is subject to excise....there is a lobby in progress to exempt fuel produced for personal consumption, leaving the fuel excise in place for any commercial sale. One has to suspect that it is kinda difficult to police - I can't really remember if I produced 80 or 800 ...
