Re: 15" Wheels on RA

15's will fit as some models came out with 15" rims with the same brakes as the 4wd models. As Feass said finding the right offset is important as the RA's run an odd offset, when i was looking for a second spare i ended up paying extra for a standard rim as i couldnt find a sunraysia style rim...

Re: RA Rodeo - I am not sure

The RA's have a different engine to the Jack's.

Am currently running 31's with a 50mm body lift and about the same spring lift, some trimming of the plastic inner guard near the mudflap was needed

Re: ute trays....how long can i go??

Here in SA the maximum overhang measured from the center of the rear axle on a vehicle is 60% of the wheelbase or 3.7m whichever is the lesser. I would imagine this is fairly standard across the country. As best i can find your wheelbase is 2850mm so the longest your tray can be is 1710mm from the c...

My RA has no O2 sensor in exhaust and as far as i know they are uncommon in diesel injection systems

If you are talking about MAF sensors then these would be on all electronicly controlled injector pumps i think

The exhaust brake on the 3.5t (4.2 turbo diesel) canter that i drive does a good job of holding speed down hills, never driven a truck with jake brake so can't compare but i do find on downhill runs in my ute i sometimes find myself going for the exhaust brake as a habit from the truck. I have similar setup to patrolden and it scares the daylights out of people, good for getting people out your way cos they think a big Kenworth is about to run them over! Mine runs great down to 70psi then starts to drop out.

I have a '03 RA and find it quite good except for like others have said on the open road it runs a pit short but i'm sure the new 3.0 CRD has sorted some of that, and i'm hoping a new free flowing exhaust will help some of my problems with the previous diesel

tip i've heard of for setting a bead. haven't tried it but it seems safer than the lighter fluid trick. get a bicycle inner tube the right size for your rim (i.e.16in, dunno if you can get 15in tubes), inflate it and use it to seal the gap between the tyre and the rim. pull it out just as the tyre ...

It's much easier and safer to just outlaw all plastics, even though the right grades are perfectly safe (umm, except in a fire I guess).
after the fire i don't think the lift blocks are going to be the biggest concern :)

One of the easiest things you can do to improve sound quality at high volume for any cd player is to have a heavy duty wire direct from the battery (with fuse of course) to CD player and an equal size earth wire

I went steel for my blocks because of price, just went to local steel mart and got them to cut off 6 bits of bar for me and i just drilled them myself.

Ended up about 1/4 price of rubber or P/U ones that 4WD shop was selling
