Re: 15" Wheels on RA
15's will fit as some models came out with 15" rims with the same brakes as the 4wd models. As Feass said finding the right offset is important as the RA's run an odd offset, when i was looking for a second spare i ended up paying extra for a standard rim as i couldnt find a sunraysia style rim...

Re: RA Rodeo - I am not sure
The RA's have a different engine to the Jack's.
Am currently running 31's with a 50mm body lift and about the same spring lift, some trimming of the plastic inner guard near the mudflap was needed

Re: ute trays....how long can i go??
Here in SA the maximum overhang measured from the center of the rear axle on a vehicle is 60% of the wheelbase or 3.7m whichever is the lesser. I would imagine this is fairly standard across the country. As best i can find your wheelbase is 2850mm so the longest your tray can be is 1710mm from the c...

The exhaust brake on the 3.5t (4.2 turbo diesel) canter that i drive does a good job of holding speed down hills, never driven a truck with jake brake so can't compare but i do find on downhill runs in my ute i sometimes find myself going for the exhaust brake as a habit from the truck. I was led to...

Holden V6 into L200 ute
I have an old L200 ute with a dead engine and was thinking about puting a V6 in there. I was wondering if anyone has done this before or knows of any source of info on such a conversion
Thanks in advance

tip i've heard of for setting a bead. haven't tried it but it seems safer than the lighter fluid trick. get a bicycle inner tube the right size for your rim (i.e.16in, dunno if you can get 15in tubes), inflate it and use it to seal the gap between the tyre and the rim. pull it out just as the tyre ...

FM transmitters have reasonable quality but if you want clear sound straight off your computer then you will need a head unit or amp with an aux line that will run direct from the laptop. The USB input in most head units will only read USB flash drives they won't allow you to connect the laptop dire...

To me it looks like what they do on Hot rods to get them dropped closer to the ground but keep standard shock height for better handling of bumps etc. As you said if you lower the car this method will allow for a standard length shock to still fit but on the other hand if you fit a longer shock it ...

Like g60 said MOST alloy trays now are basically just clipped together with a few screws and bolts to finish the job. Having had alloy trays on work utes in the past any load that sits in the same place for any time will wear a hole in the tray (once lost a large oxy bottle down the road this way) i...
