Id rather perservere with the v8 if i can do it, althrough with a change of cam it would make a pretty hot car motor, so the money hasnt been wasted. Im leaving the dellow mounts on fotr the moment, but if they dont last, ill get a front crossmember of a XD, XE falcon and see if i can modify it to ...

Cleveland into GQ LWB
Hi. has anyone successfully put a Cleveland V8 into a gq? Has it passed through engineering? How did you get past clearance problems with the oil pump on the front axle, and the starter motor on the front drive shaft? The only way I can see around it is with a lift kit, but the engineer in my area ...

well, the adapted bell housing should be here by wendsday. The mav converter is a lot smaller then the ford, so i have redrilled the flexplate, and will shim it to suit. if the mav converter doesnt handle the aimed for 600nm of torque, ill look at getting one made to suit. As for stall speeds, the ...

CRUSHU Posted: Thu May 03, 2007 7:32 pm -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You will be getting a convertor made anyhow, so it doesn't matter. FWIW the ford convertor is usually around 11". Why? if the mav TQ fits in the housing, wouldnt it be easier to ...

I need to sort out what flex plate im using to get the motor balenced, but no-one i have spoken to can tell me whether the maverick tourqe converter will actually fit within the bellhousing bolt pattern for ...

1 - if you want torque, go the 351. if you want revs, go the 302. I used to race an XD with a fully blue-printed 302 that had 400 hp and had an insane redline, so you dont need 351 for power, its all up to where you want it. 2- Ford USA sold a 351 and 302 Windsor with modified (for water jacket line ...
