I've got 15's with landcruiser offset rims on a 2002 gu ute, not much clearance on calipers.

Only steel wheels will fit because there so thin like a sunnys or something, you won't get an alloy wheel on!

I have a gu ute, only way and the easist way to clear 36's is to go body lift. 2" kit cheap as, and can install your self if you need to. i have 36 centerpedes, and they only clear by 10 - 15mm with 3"suspension and 2" body. See how you go, everyones different though

I just did a coil conversion on my gu ute, and made a hugh difference. so much more responsive and way smoother. Went out on friday night at tolangie and was so much better, heaps more flex and seemed to get up tracks easy, where i had troubles before. I would just bit my tongue and go coils

Also, my ute has 2" body lift and 2" suspension lift and i use 36x12.5x15 beadlocked centipedes. Clears no worries. Gu's have way more clearance in the gaurds. See how you go. Old man emu leafs flex out pretty good.

Yes, Got quotes on getting my motor up to those figures, but will save about 8-9 grand this way. Not cheap going crazy on a diesel this day and age. To get a stock as a rock td42 from say 60-70rwkw to 200rwkw on 35's, you will spend an easy $15,000 on it!!

Hi All,
Have been quoted around the 2,800 - 3,200 mark including gq rear end 3"dobsons coils, dobsons shockies, stronger trailing arms, rods, fitted, has to change something to do with brake lines. Same wheel base as a wagon.

Was thinking of that, but been told that a factroy rear locker is know where as good as an air locker on a normal gq diff. Thought about using cheezy but he was more expensive again. But could get a-frame rear end at same price. Not sure if a-frame is better than a 5-link or not. Do you get more ...

Does any one know where the melbourne would be the best place to get a leaf to coil conversion done. Or if anyone out there wants to do it, i would be happy to consider.
