hi there, we have an 89 4.2l turbo GQ. runs like a dream, starts perfect every time. sent it to a mech to have a pre-gas install check up (to make sure it is ok for diesel on gas) had a pyro gauge fitted, radiator removed and cleaned, compression test, exhaust flow test and a dyno run. now it starts...

i have seriously considered the conversion and the only thing i was wondering is how long approx does it take to get the rebate back from the gov i have a mate who did it, he took all of his rego paperwork with him when he picked it up, took it straight to vic roads and got the rego sticker changed...

hi guys, looking at putting diesel on gas on our 89 GQ 4.2 turbo. went to LPGAS1 and they do an IMPCO set-up. anyone read or know much about these set-ups? i had an IMPCO set-up on a previous vehicle, but that was petrol/gas not diesel. any advice..... thanks in advance guys. get the 240's then contact bushy555 for his hid upgrade fitting ($15) then get a hid upgrade kit off ebay ($100-$250) and now you have HID at a fraction of the price!!! you cant upgrade XGT's to HID. even though they have the same body!
