3ltr V6 petrol yota and box should do the trick.
Do you mean the 3.4L EFi V6 from the later model Lux's ? or is there a 3L as well ?
Not up on the yota stuff.

Thanks very much for the info everyone. I am trying to salvage the 22r, by fixing or replacing as needed, as I simply don't have the cash to do a conversion on it at the moment. The less spent fixing it to get 6 to 12 month out of it, the more money that gets set aside for conversion time. Thanks ...

My sparky removed the alarm, fixed timimg ( was 180' out ) and put plug leads on right plugs. Started and idled a bit rough but ok. Decided it ...

I have just bought a hilux XC with the 2.4l 22r engine in it.
I need to replace it and haven't done a lux before.
Is it best to pull the engine separately or take engine and gear box in one ?
Will be doing it in my shed with an engine cram if it makes a differance.
Cheers Nick

Simple Harb, dont do it.
I dont think i have seen a good looking exo on a patrol wagon / dual cab ever.
Why dont you just wheel the red and yellow one ? ( if you still have it )

From memory your building a D22 STR with GQ diffs ?
Why not just the whole GQ set up ? P/S box Drag link etc ?
Will make it easy when you bend stuff.

The bigger turbo is not the problem its the 4" pipe running from the air box to the turbo thats normally the problem.

My next question would be who can re thread them once there stuffed ? Nick You lost me with that one. The idea is to remove them and put new ones in. Every one I have ever done has been a pain in arse and ended up snapping. Then you have to easy out or drill and re-thread. Both options are a pain ...
