same thing happened to my sump plug and it was the mechanics again who had over tightened it. i got it fixed for $60 from a different local mechanic. he had to tap a new thread and put a slightly larger diameter bolt in. it didnt take him very long so don't get charged to much

my girlfriend used to have a terios and it actually did about 4000rpm at 100km/hr which was pretty shit for driving long distances. she got it up to 130km/hr once, and i don't want to imagine how high it was revving then.

yeah i did take it to a smash repairer. they took the outside panel of and welded it up from the inside. they probs just did a shit job. im gonna fix it myself this time with the help of a mate who knows how to weld properly.

when you say 'stop drill holes' do you mean you simply drill a hole at the bottom of the crack then weld up above it and leave the hole in the panel.
