Re: 80 series high mount winch bar
Hey mate, Me and a mate managed to get mine fitted up by spacing the winch 50mm back off the bar using solid steel bar 25mm thick each and also had to recess the winch into the grill. As I wasn't using the vehicle for competitions I wouldn't go to that much effort again to get the winch on, I would ...

Re: Do the 240Blitz fit on Arb deluxe winch bar for 80 serie
Yes they do, I just put a few washers under them to adjust correctly. They sit forward of the bar work, so I used to leave the top bolt a little loose so if they hit anything they would just swing back.

Re: g52 replacement- any ideas??
I got a reconditioned gearbox from this place, they organise transport both ways and I am very happy with the product. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Toyota-Hilux-Hi-Lux-4x4-5-Speed-Gearbox-Reco-Exchange-/330395358391?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories I think stay with the G52, how many kms has it done? If it is ...

Re: 84 hilux 4runner conversion
Hey mate, Depending on funds, I dropped out the 3Y and dropped in a 3RZ out of a 2005 Hilux, bolts onto 3Y engine mounts need a 25mm bodylift to clear bonnet, also need a 2WD bellhousing out of the same car which will suit the G52, I have a spare bellhousing if you decide to go this path. Power wise ...

In a NA application the G52 or W56 will be ample, both boxes come with either geardrives or chaindrives depending on model. I would use a G52 just for the fact that there more common then the older W56 geardrives. Just to confirm a W56 could have came out with either a chain or gear drive fitted to ...

Hey mate, correct me if I am wrong your vehicle from factory has a W56 gearbox fitted to it. Confirmed this on this site: http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/q.html based on 99 model Australian Hilux with 3RZ. Then this site says you have a gear driven transfer case based on W56. http://www.marlincrawler ...

No, the wiring for the magnetic clutch is wired to the A/C cab switch which will only come on when the fan is on. But The major problem is that the clutch will also not come on until the Low Pressure and High Pressure switches are closed which are also inline on the same circuit. Bypassing these ...

Yep, that steering box will be fine for the high steer conversion. As 4RUNNER_01 said have a look at all the Hilux and 4Runner build threads in the members area to see what can be done. Also have a look at the Hilux bible on this site and also at Pirate4x4, which is a Yank site with lots of good ...

3RZ Temperature Gauge
G'Day All, I have stuck a 3RZ into a 84 4Runner petrol, its nearly done just before I drive it any distance I want to sort out some sort of temp gauge so I don't damage the new engine. Is there a way to use the factory cluster gauge using a signal from the ECU, or have most conversions just used an ...

Fuel Lines for EFI Engine Conversion
G'Day All, Currently doing a 3RZ conversion to my 4Runner, have done a search but didn't find what I am looking for. I am after how people have gone about with high pressure fuel lines when carrying out a conversion to EFI. I am thinking flexible fuel hose for the return and evap, and using flexible ...

The 3RZ I have is out of a 05 Hilux(last of the gen 5s), it has a twin coil pack setup no dizzy. I haven't fitted it yet so I can't tell you how it goes driving. I choose the 3RZ as it is a simple install, with no need for adapter bell housings. This making the conversion cheaper. Its only a four ...

I agree with DAMKIA with the 24V soldnoids, I would talk to Berreta about his soldniod packs and that will save you the hassle.
