Re: Tyre Topic : Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor (AT)
After being happy with them on my Rangie I fitted a set to my Dmax. 265/75 x 16. The Dmax is loaded to its maximum weight every day and so Far I have done 13,000 kms and they dont seem have worn at all. Where I needed 4wd to reverse up a wet grassy slope where I keep my trailers with the standard ...

I dont own a Disco 2 however from looking at many Landrover sites including AULRO and having a friend with a Disco 2 TD5 it would seem the vehicle is as reliable as any other make or model. Common faults seem to be related to overheating, oil in the injector harness which seems to be a simple and ...

Cant help with my supplier as I have a mate that works at a Rover parts supplier and I probably get a better deal than most. You could try the Rover parts supplier in MIddleborough Road Blackburn just north of the address I gave you for the RWC. I believe they may be as cheap as any however I have ...

As far as I am aware, if the chip in the windscreen is not with in a certain veiwing range of the driver then it should be ok. Below where the windscreen wipers park should not be a problem at all. Back out the steering stops on the swivel housings until the tyres no longer rub. That will solve that ...

Having used Optima batteries for some time and not being really happy with them I have now had a Dekka Intimidator for a few years as a starting battery. I am more impressed with this than the Optima, it is fully sealled and cheaper than the Optima. I got it from Battery World in Wantirna. They cant ...

Kris, this sounds like an electrical wiring problem. Can I suggest removing anything electrical that connects the gas system then try working out the wiring. The quadrajet is very reliable. If it has fuel the engine should run. Are you sure its not trying to run on gas and petrol at the same time ...

When I get to my other computer tomorrow I can send some pictures. Neither will fit, the patrol has much wider chassis rails and the manifold tanks are too wide, if you really want good range on lpg only then best mod is to widen the chassis just after diff and fit in 2 large tanks- there was a place in Bayswater years ago that did this mod. I had this mod done to ...

I have used the Cibie Turini and still have a set in the garage. I found them good but the light pattern ws no better than the Super Oscar for my driving. I went back to the Super Oscars because the Turini use an H2 globe which you cant get in HID where as the Super Oscars use H1. I would still be ...

I use a Talon Lock to secure my work trailer. There is no way that is coming off without an angle grinder. Secures the coupling to the car or off the car. They are much cheaper now than when I bought one.

It doesn't need to go on the roof as UHF are ground plane independant, hence don't need to be surrounded by a sq metre of steel (ground plane) like the old 27mhz cb aeriels used to. I Unfortunately that is incorrect. You can buy a very cheap antenna for around $20.00 that is ground plane dependant ...

The ideal place for an antenna is the centre of the roof. A cheap flexible antenna mounted there will outperform any bar mounted antenna. I have a centre roof antenna and also a very expensive eletraphone bar mounted antenna for those times when I use a roof rack and I can guarantee the roof one is ...

I had a friend who used to put a litre of petrol into a full tank of deisel at every fill. Ask over here. http://www.aulro.com/ there is plenty with P38a Rangies. From what I can see, if you get over the known problems such as loose cylinder liners which only seem to happen if the motor has been overheated, and things like leaking O rings in the heater etc they are a fantastic buy. Very ...
