Re: Tyre Topic : Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor (AT)

After being happy with them on my Rangie I fitted a set to my Dmax. 265/75 x 16. The Dmax is loaded to its maximum weight every day and so Far I have done 13,000 kms and they dont seem have worn at all. Where I needed 4wd to reverse up a wet grassy slope where I keep my trailers with the standard ...

My 96 Disco engine takes around 6 litres on an oil and filter change with a Z9 filter. Interestingly my Rover motors seem to always run better with around a litre less in the sump. Something I have noted over 20 years of Rangie ownership.

I dont own a Disco 2 however from looking at many Landrover sites including AULRO and having a friend with a Disco 2 TD5 it would seem the vehicle is as reliable as any other make or model. Common faults seem to be related to overheating, oil in the injector harness which seems to be a simple and ...

Because you are new to 4wd, it is worth noting that steep descents are a problem with automatic transmissions, because the fluid coupling slips and can not transfer all of the engine braking torque. The problem with using brakes on slippery descents is the greater risk of locking up the wheels ...

As far as I am aware, if the chip in the windscreen is not with in a certain veiwing range of the driver then it should be ok. Below where the windscreen wipers park should not be a problem at all. Just buy new rotors. $75.00 is cheap and not much more than machining. Dont buy the slotted ones. I have used both standard and slotted and could tell no difference in them in performance. The slotted ones just relieve you of more money.

I use a Talon Lock to secure my work trailer. There is no way that is coming off without an angle grinder. Secures the coupling to the car or off the car. They are much cheaper now than when I bought one.

It doesn't need to go on the roof as UHF are ground plane independant, hence don't need to be surrounded by a sq metre of steel (ground plane) like the old 27mhz cb aeriels used to. I Unfortunately that is incorrect. You can buy a very cheap antenna for around $20.00 that is ground plane dependant ...
