Re: Tough Tracks 4x4 Challenge Series-Round 2
MOST IMPORTANTLY - Get your nominations in early. First you save money on our entry costs. Second - if you do not pre nominate, you WILL NOT get discount park fees. We need to provide a list of competitors to the park, if you have not nominated, we cannot put your name on the list. Simple as that ...

OK, I've tried emailing the admin email address as per my above post, and haven't had a reply with the bank details as I would have last year...
So I've tried doing the online thing on the tough tracks website, which is fine, it emailed me, but then I'm stuck with either paypal or credit card ...

Re: What Suzuki to use...
If you are going to go over 35s you need to look at what it takes to make a rover diff/axils stronger. From memmory it cost about $700 for the rear and $2000 for the front but after that they are good for up to 40s. To add to that you are about half the weight of a rover so you may be able to run ...

Is nomination form and payment done by the same method as in round 1 this year?
ie: by email and EFT?
I had a quick read through this thread and couldn't see the answer, so apologies if I missed it.

Fair call on the narrowness, though I must say I like the living in fear of falling over... keeps things interesting
. I still think diff size is quite relevant, though for some reason the profile advantages of a shaved diff never crossed my mind...

Seeing as I'm getting emails from this thread I'll attempt to say something useful....
Is 1/2" the difference? It sure is.
The difference between 6.5" and 7" Suzuki diffs is severe enough. The amount of things my twin locked Sierra cannot drive due to diffing out and not being able to drag ...

Re: New LJ80 owner
Disc brake conversion is easy. I did a wite up on Auszookers and LJ10 about it. Don't have time to transfer here right now, but can do later if you want.
OK here it is copied over and slightly changed. Rear drum upgrade included.
This thread is about changing the front hubs on an LJ series ...

I have an original LJ80. I want a 4cyl engine upgrade. I am after 60-80kw and preferably EFI. What is a straight forward swap? I am happy to do minor transmission housing and tailshaft mods to suit a new motor & gearbox. Has anyone put p/s and disc brake front? What are my options? Can most of this ...

You can get new stock shackles off ebay. Can even get them with new bushes if you want. Being stock they have the shouldered bolts you want.
