td42 oil filler cap leaking
just got around to putting another td42 into the gq, been driving it around for abit and ive noticed theres oil running out from the filler cap. before you ask yes ive tried numerous caps and checked the rubber o ring inside the side and yes the cap is on properly

Running a schwitzer turbo on my gq at the moment and it has done the oil seals again after only getting a rebuild 10,000ks ago. My Q. is ive been offered a hypergear turbo (not a ball bearing) but its equivalent in size to a gt3071. Are these a suitable size turbo or are they to big or small to run ...

righteo ive had a bit of a hunt around the countryside and ive found a rebuilt exchange for about $3500. problem is im going to sell the bloody thing this is the second motor 2 shit the bed (this 1 bought from jessie928) by the way 12months ago!!! and only done 5000ks on it.... im just gunna wait ...

took my gq td42 into the mechanic today and got the dreaded news that 3 cyliners dont even have half the compression they should. Problem is this is the second motor thats s''t itself, 1st was my fualt from running too much boost, this 1 well i probably deserved for buying u used td42 for $1500 ...

i had same problem after trying for big numbers on dyno with alot of boost dropped all its water,heaps of smoke then shut it off. tried to start it 5 minutes later and idled like a v8 with a massive cam in it with heaps of blow bye = rings,holes in pistons,stuffed head, full rebuild qoute was $9000 ...

Having abit of trouble finding something that will lift my motor out damm 6inch lift and 35's. Have rang a few places and there engine cranes arnt high enough to clear the body. Re the turbo not fitting when i spoke 2 brunswick diesel direct he has one in his gq and said they nilly drop straight in aslong as you have atleast 50mm body lift. Are these motors reliable as ive heard they make big power stock for a diesal ofcourse as if im going to be spending 20g getting motor ...

Has anybody got one of these in their gq as my 4.2 just blew up on the dyno and im looking at the idea of putting one in. Just looking 4 the pros and cons with them as a few mechanics have said itd be a waste of money fixing the old motor if im after power and torque with reliability

yeh ive got the turbo timer set at 30secs and if its over 200 ill wait till then until i turn the ignnition of n the turbo timer kicks in, how would i adjust the cap to increase pressure? the water temp guage sits about 1/4 and sometimes sits on half, is there anyway to test the factory guage\sender ...

ive had a quick check of the oil when i changed it and no water in it just burns a bit of oil i think thats just diesels. egts on highway sit around 250-300 hard driving around town will get 450-500 and the highest ive had offroad is about 680, could be overfueling only problem is im atleast a 2hr ...
