Seeing as i had feed to my left high beam, I re wired to a fused relay and then ran heavy duty wire to the high beams.

The P38 will not start with any of the doors open including the boot.
YEs I had one it cught me out a few times

From memory, the key should recharge when its in the ignition, but if its not been used for a while, your theory seems pretty logical.

I think the main issue is the cold running, the ECU is being tricked into thinking its still cold. So try blocking the readiator off.

running cold is definaley the issue, the temp on the guage should be half way!
If you block the radiator with a huge bit of cardboard, so the engine cant draw air will it make a diffrence?
