There is a vsv valve located near the starter motor. When hit with water these are pretty useless. I actually have a throttle cable and a release that pulls the rack back to the no fuel position on the fuel pump. With the .86 housing the turbo spools a bit off idle but doesn't kick you in the arse until around 2000 and is pretty happy to 4000. Ive used both housings on my GU ute which runs 35's and standard ratios. Im also using a front mount intercooler. Yep, your my insperation Matt, 175Kw Here I come! Wreckers do charge a fortune for genuine intercooler kits, but their such an easy fit up to a non-intercooled GU which makes them valuble i suppose. those '$1000' dollar denco and PWR water/air jobs arent really that efficient.
