Hey Guys, i beleive my AFM on my 94 dual fuel 1FZ-FE landcruiser is faulty and this is why. my car idles at 300-400rpm popping and farting all over the shop. mine does this aswell. same symptoms.

I have been told to check teh rubber hoses that go from the airbox to the throttle body for cracks.

If not depending on the year of your 80 check the 02 sensor in the exhaust under the drivers footwell.

that rattle in neutral is normal. If you have a listen to most cars they do it. Especially heavy duty clutches. My old 200sx clutch sounded like someone was rattling bolts in the gearbox, but it was fine once engaged.

Even my 80 does it.

i dont have a pic of the seal itself as i have installed it in the car already. 1 the rubber on the Toyota seal was alot stronger and thicker that was on the aftermarket one. 2 the actual thickness of the steel used in the toyota seal was about 1mm whereas the other seal was only about .7mm thick. 3...

If i can suggest anything, with the axel seal use a genuine one. I used an aftermarket one 3 times and they all leaked. i used a genuine one and it was fine no more leaks. For the 80 series the seal was only $17 and it is also a far better quality.

It will just save you doing the job twice
