I heard talk of a diesel GV being released in '08, can anyone in the know confirm or deny this? Also if true are there specs of this (particular interested in the engine) out there?

Ok so the last post was a guess, but I promise I got up and opened the wheel bible this time:

Toyota factory rim offset:

80s
- +30 (16x5.5)
- +10 (15x7)
- 0 (16x8)

100s rfs
- 0 (16x6.5 & 16x8)

100s ifs
- +50 (16x8)
- +60 (17x8)

90 series traction control

I remember reading about the 90 Series traction control in a 4WD monthly when it was introduced mid '01, however when I look at Prados for sale no advertisement seems to mention it. My question therefore, how can I tell if it has T/C... which models, engines, transmissions, etc

Out there today viewing the action… Appeared to be about 500ish spectators, few sponsors’ stalls & the obligatory ice-cream van. Big thumbs up to those that organised a "Sydney" event, however thumbs down on $20 entry fee per person.

Have a good look at the regulator. I had a number of 12v items running off the 24v system. It was very unreliable and I finally went to an invertor to sort things out.

After a long look at a new project I feel the best bet might be for a Jimny. This would be a commuter (25km round trip) with the view to still be able to go on day trips on the out skirts of Sydney.

Here are the benefits I can see

Pros:
