Re: To the welding gurus out there
As a Boilermaker/Welder since the late 70's with welding certificates and welding inspection and welding supervision certificates I can give an honest appraisal and those welds are sh1t. I would never ever let a job leave looking like that. That being said you should have accepted your money back ...

Get all the info you need on the Pajero club forum. http://www2.pajeroclub.com.au/forum/ Assuming your NS is diesel it usually has 3 possible issues. 1: inlet manifold full of crud from the EGR system, see pics below. The only remedy is to remove the inlet manifold and physically clean all the crud ...

I bought 5 Goodyear DuraTrac tyres from them just over a year ago. Re: The Welding Thread
Have either of you ever seen just how restrictive the gas line is in a water cooled Tig torch? I haven't found one regulator at the bottle that shows an accurate gas rate of flow at the end of an 8 meter water cooled Tig torch. Measuring at the torch is the only accurate way of getting the right ...

My argon reg has a flow metre on it as like the one in your link Is that doing the same job? It does the job up to a point. Re: Any suitable off the shelf tube for 12mm ID crush tubes?
I forgot to say you can usually use the system for through tubes on 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16", 5/8" etc sizing in bolts. Some sizes have a better range in tube sizes than others and one more thing you can get Chrome/Moly tubing in a wall thickness that is already suitable for running a tap through ...

Re: Any suitable off the shelf tube for 12mm ID crush tubes?
Try to base your bolts around Imperial sizes rather than Metric. For example: If you wanted to use 1/2" bolts then you can use 5/8" X .058" or 3/4" X .120" or 7/8" X 0156" or 1" X .250" Chrome Moly tubing is available in all the above sizes. (We use them to do exactly the same thing in race car ...

Wherever possible use a rest of some kind. I use 90 X 90 blocks of pine cut to different lengths for most of my bench work. I also use adjustable stands if I need them. For our Sprintcar chassis work I use spring clamps around the tubes to rest my torch hand on. They are quick and easy and will ...

I havn't glossed over anything. History is history. Your outdated list is is primaraly made up of pre 2003 Patrols. We all know that these had issues. You have also included minor issues like blown gaskets and bolt on items not made by nissan that have failed. The list includes engines that had ...

And what Skegbudley likes to gloss over is that even with "Nads" fitted there are still some posters on the Patrol forum that have suffered the dreaded grenade syndrome. Also there are currently 109 (perhaps even more) members of just the Patrol forum that have suffered from the grenade and that's ...

I'd post the list I started about ZD30 engine failures but I don't think there's enough room with just under 190 members of a handful of forums that have suffered from the dreaded ZD30 disease so I think it's just the tip of the iceberg.
