Hilux gearbox upgrade

got a 95 hilux 2.8 with a commodore v6 in it and first drive out think its bent the input shaft to the box. Just wondering if there is any aftermarket cromo shafts etc availiable or an alternative that will still bolt up to the hilux 5 speed bell housing from the conversion. Thanks for any help ...

all we are doin is runnin front centres in the rear. that all it is and we (well atleast myself and russ, can't speak for the rest) are runnin moded/custom arb front lockers.

im not complaining the fuel is the least of my worries, i am only runnin it on race fuel all the time cause it is safer on the internals of me motor and costs are pretty much similar now with the way the bowser is charging, cheap insurance. just as long as the rest of me car is good.

so the way i read it is my car will still comply, will just have to have two fuel maps and drain the tank and put standard fuel in it for 4 races a year and back the boost off. Is this right dave i'll still be ok with triples and coilovers in the reae and triples in the front with the long arm wheel ...

oh and another thing the reason we run softer in the rear up hear is cause we race with our right foot and shorty's need lighter springs in the rear or they kick up rear bad when you jump them.

also my opinion only 12 inches is too mush you might as well go buy a wagon chassis and just trim the back off behind the panhard mount. When you get into it a small amount makes a big difference.

im almost finished doing my shortyjust have to weld in the shock mounts and make a new rear floor pan, so you can come have alook at one in the flesh if you want. I get back to town on moday morning and go back to work friday arve so anytime this week is ok.

I'll be making up something similar to those tube flares when i finish doing the panel work on my rear quarters from wheel base extension.runnin gu diffs and cruiser offsets on 36's with 2" spring and 1" cab doesn't leave many options that look good and last longer than a day bunnings stuff only ...

josh you seen my car at rd 2 in 07 when i was running two turbo's on my tb42 that are bigger than 1 td42 turbo and it came on that early it wasn't funny but it didn't run out but never finished tuning it. but yeah it'll never work. if you want a cheap way out of it get an xr6 turbo.

4.8 are different totally to the 4.2/4.5 also the intakes manifolds are different from 4.2 to 4.5

the twin turbo setup i had on my TB42 had 2 turbo's bigger than all my makes when they were runnin single on their TD42 and they were all upgraded diesels as well.
