mne did this after i got a new cd player installed, i took it back, they fixd it. some kind of shorting issue i think they said, mesy wiring.

you will find that the 2.8 already has 4.6 diff gears in it. I had 36's ET's on mine for a week of so to test them out, it didnt die as much as i thought it would but you are rearely out of 4th and its a mega PITA. go the 33's get a 3" zorst and the chip and you will be laughing. thats that i did ...

I have a 3" dump straight from turbo, 3" all the way through with 1 hi-flow lukey muffler which basically does very little. Runs a treat.

I have a 3" system on my GU ( 99 2.8TD) made a huge difference straight out of the carpark. very pleasent to drive. I now run 33's and always have about 400kg of gear in the back plus a rack with lights sticking up off it. It is still nice to drive (usually). plus now u can even hear the turbo ...
