Maybe the immobilizer is playing up, I have read something about there being an issue with some of them.

Have you gat another key you can try?

Its the VSV valve that controls the EGR.

The early original 1's are a 2 pipe system and the bottom is vented to atmosphere. It has a guaze that gets clogged up with sh1t.

The fix is a new VSV that has 3 pipes and an adaptor to vent it to the filtered intake pipe.

Doesnt go into the alternator; just the same spot the return from the alternator goes.

This is how mine is done; havent had any issues at all.

5 min job as long as you dont snap a bolt, just go easy when undoing them, I always use never seaze or similar when reassembling.

I reckon it will be a hard sell as is; if it were me looking to buy it I would be turned away by the custom stuff on the motor (all unknowns to most ppl).

You might be lucky to find the right person but probablly IMO more likely to sell without all the fruit.

This is a pic that China4x4Offroad sent; looks a lot better than what was in the video.

Out of interest I emailed china4x4offroad asking for a pic of the internals; I didnt get anything of the internals only the whole package.

Asking price was $450us including wiring, switches and compressor.

I have asked again for a picture as I want to see the quality of the internal gears; will ...

At that price I would give it a go I reckon.

I can fit it myself and I already have air comp etc.

Thanks Rob, I'll do a google and check it out that link doesn't work. However if I can;t make this for under about $350-$400 it isn't going to happen and it will if I can find a cheap pump.

The subaru impreza w2a IC can be had for that money on ebay, including pump, cooler and radiator.

I'll be sure to check when it goes back together. I'm hoping that if I pressurise the system to say 15psi, any leaks will show themselves up. If I was spending thousands rebuilding an engine, I'd spend a few hungs and replace the water pump even if old one was good. Cheap insurance.

All of the large airconditioning chilled water coils and heating water coils I have ever seen are multiple pass units. Although these run the opposite to what you want to do; the water is in the coil and the air goes around the outside. Same principle of heat transfer though.

That is how I have set mine up; was just curious and as I said the brand was just the first one that came up not something I would buy, intended as example only.

Ive got an A pillar pod in my GQ, cant remember where it came from so will check tonight and let people know if their interested.

Wasnt cheap around the $100 mark.

I have put 3 non genuine ones in my patrol now (all different doors) had no issues yet.

My front door hinges in my GQ are pretty much shot.

From what I have read on here and elsewhere the cheap eeeeebay ones aren't worth the effort.

I think Shane at suspension stuff had some bolt on slimline boxes to suit 3".
