Take a die grinder to the caliper, you can grind a bit from the mount of the caliper which is close to the rim, take a bit out and you should be ok. Just remember to check and clean regularly

I use a t3/t4 hybrid, it's an eBay knockoff and works great. Comes on boost at 2000 rpm and holds to about 5000

Re: turbo gas set up for economics

i think a good bearing t3 would out perform the cheaper t3/t4's as all the hybrids i have seen are bush turbos. on gas i get about 18L per 100 if im thrashing it, or it drops to about 14 ish L per 100 if i baby it.

Re: turbo gas set up for economics

hmm, i can help you in saying that a gt3540 is going to be too big for what you want there, they dont spool till about 2500. The one im using hits boost at 2k, it has a .64 front housing and .84 rear i think, or it might be 1.04 rear, not sure now.

either way the right sized turbo for your ...

gu will bolt in, but its a hitachi, go a bosch, the one you want is the el ex chaser (but dont tell the wrecker that, they will charge you more) but thats the 110A version, and its a bosch, only needs the mount to be ground out a little, poss 10 mins of work, and its a plug in job
