Re: Welder advice (high end)

I have a Kempii pulse 2800 automotive. (3phase power.) Very easy to use. I always use it on "automatic" Just set the dial to the thickness of the material I am welding and the machine automatically sets the correct amps and wire feed speed. Makes me look like a pro anytime I have welded AL. I mainly ...

Re: CCDA external roll cage rules

Well it is obvious the CCDA has no experience in building exo cages. So some one should start a new thread here and get some good input from everyone into building an exo cage to a minimum standard to protect the occupants, not the truck . Summarise it and submit it to the CCDA for a look. If you ...

I have never seen an axle failure from a Martac weld. The axle nearly always breaks at the slim part.

Try the 4 longest leaves in the rear plus the 10mm?? thick flat overload leaf each side. I assume you will have no passengers in the rear.

Leave the front as is and see how it feels.

For comfort air down in the front to about 17psi and rears 2psi less.

Probably not worth doing it perfect as it is a tray.
Wire wheel on the end of the angle grinder works fast to get rust off.
I would also paint all the inside of the tray rather than touch up a few spots.
Use 2 pack paint it is a lot tougher than acrylic and easier to apply.

With the leaky O rings you will know if yours fail because the oil level on the dip stick will rise due to diesel dilluting it.

PANIC get it repaired imediately as the engine may start running FULL THROTTLE, on the over full sump oil. Turning the key off will not shut the engine off!
