How does that work?

Have an airflow on my 80 and no dramas so far , after 3 years.
And airflow intakes can be turned like a safari no worries.

Could try an automotive spare parts shop and expect to pay at least 100 odd bucks.

If its a 93 or younger then the 15 inch rims will not fit.

There WAS a recall on the early 80s 1HZ engines with loose dowells behind the timing belt cover but I'm sure thats long been cleared up.

If you spend a bit of time waterproofing the electricals shouldn't be a drama.

Done well mate, it's a good feeling when all goes well and falls into place.

Dosen't have any oil champ . regrease the gearbox on a semi regular basis though.
By the sounds of your post you should maybe seek expert help before messing with the winch though.

Exactly my thoughts, the big name 4by shops charge a unbelievable amount of money for black boxes filled with Fred Flintstone style solenoids because noone knows any difference.Duel battery systems are basic stuff and people are getting burned big time . Trust me I am not a sparky but it's basic ...

He means the steel line bends are far to sharp and look kinked.
Make curvier bends.

If winch is seperate from bullbar is not hard.
Remove two bolts from end of motor and remove cover.
Rusty=shit.
Clean,tidy=good.
Don't think the owner will apreciate pulling apart his winch , especially if something breaks.
Save up and buy a new one instead.

First you say you can't find the fuse box and then 4 lines later you say the fuse box has 4 big fuses in it.

GME 4400 and a good GME aerial = no dramas.

Top idea but my bullbar is mounted using those holes and I can't do what you did.
Would be no problem at all if I could find hooks with the same hole pattern.

How did you found out you only use 5% of the power?
I reckon it's a lot more then that champ.
And I think you would be better off with a normal twin battery setup.

please post pics as I have the same dramas and just drilled a new hole to suit the hook. I don't think it's strong enough to snatch off but I have seen pics in a well known Aus 4wd publication where the original tow hooks fit in the holes perfectly.And we all know the carry on with those hooks.ie ...

1991 80s did not come with the 1hd-t as far as I know.Only the 1hz and 3f.
Personelly I would wait for a later model wagon with less kays on board.
Motor rebuild maybe one thing but what about diffs g box and transfer??
Theres plenty of good ones out there , don't jump on the first one.

In Darwin probably get between $15,000 and $20,000.
400,000 kays starts to look very scary.

That fault was common on the older gearboxes pre 80 series, but it's impossible to get cross contamination in the 80 and 100 gearboxes because there's a void between the box and t/case, and each has it's own seal. Did you make a mistake with the model? I concur ,I think badlux has his vehicles ...
