Re: Laminova Cored Intercoolers (Home Brew 2. GQ TD 42 )

Bit of a grave dig... there are still cores on ebay (USA) for $59 ea... how would one go about sourcing end caps and building the housing these days? Would like this type of cooler on a 1hdft. PM me, I'll see what the go is for parts (tubes, end caps etc), but the fabrication you'll have to get ...

Re: Laminova Cored Intercoolers (Home Brew 2. GQ TD 42 )

New radiator (heat exchanger) going into mine along with the new turbo before the end of the year! (I may or may not have made a noisy, grindy mess of the old 1 LOL)

Should be interesting to see how it does with the new turbo from JPC :)

Converting an alternator to delta config. ?

I've been reading up on converting a spare alternator I have here (it is a Bosch BXU1285 with a 9 190 067 019 regulator) to delta configuration for the extra amps I can gain when using it as a second alternator. I have pulled it apart and it seems like a very simple procedure that I am capable of. I ...

I think your listed occupation really sums up this post. Have a look here , there is a good list of diesel pump rebuilders. How about some more details about what you are actually going to build, and not just what you are dreaming of. "Big" power in a diesel is expensive. You can easily budget over ...

i think i have talked myself into one of matts lol Hehe good work. With the right size radiator, you won't be disappointed, and don't skimp on the fans either. Any cooling issues with mine are quite simply put down to the radiator we chose being too thin, plus I burnt out a Spal fan and can't ...

No, it wouldn't necessarily short out the electrics. Hence the need for a snorkel. If this was the case, there would be no petrol comp trucks what so ever.

Is your radiator cap letting water out of and back into the engine when it gets warm?

Replace with a genuine, not just a supercheap special, and rule that out as well.

Did this happen? Yes. Was a good event, lots of ground covered, I liked the format of 1 car being a reconnaissance car and 1 car being a logging car, with the winner being the team that travels the least amount of km's to get to the most waypoints. The SMS updates of how teams were doing was great ...
