The key lock on the outside of the drivers door won't unlock with the key anymore. One day it was working now it wont. Anybody know why or how to fix it??
Maybe one of the rods has come off. You can pull the door trim and get at it from there.
There is a horseshoe shaped clip that keeps the lock ...

Re: New to the forum with questions on Toyota Arkana
Hi Guy's
New to the forum and have been reading some of the posts and now would like some questions answered.
Who manufactured the Arkana? and are they still around? Did a search and no luck
Low oil pressure at idle (no reading on Dash guage or other fitted) and 40 -60 psi at 2500rpm is normal ...

The black smoke is nearly always bad injectors or the pump needs some adjustment.
Spend about $600ish on a diesel fuel service and the problem should be fixed.
Th injector nozzles are probably dribbling fuel out rather than spraying it.
In the long run it can lead to hot spots on the piston and burn ...

The gauge and sensor are unreliable in these. Before you make any decisions ,check it with a mechanical gauge that can be plugged into the engine ...

They were all shut down for a while but they seem to be up and running again.
Buy a Gregorys for $29,pretty good for the price or watch out for the FSMs on ebay.

I also have a FJ73 fitted with a 1HZ diesel and the toque difference is amazing. The old 3F was getting tired and had lost of power in the lower RPMs.
The 1HZ can plough through anything including soft sand with ease.
It was a fully rebuiilt unit using Japanese pistons and bearings.

Re: Lifted springs under a middy - urgent
I'm in the process of ordering some 2" springs for my middy. The options are 7 leaf or h/duty 8 leaf pack. The front are the same as a 75 series, the rears are the same as 60 series. The question i have is the H/D set would have to be designed for a 6 cyl troopy or ute front and 60 wagon rear which ...
