1lt NT vs 1.3 NT chassi

hey,

Just wondering what would be the better base for a build....

I have two chassi's one a 1lt an the other a 1.3lt...

planning on doing RUF, hilux diffs, not sure on engine, will be making new transfer mounts, spring mounts etc..

so whats peoples thoughts!

yeah i just welded a washer in like nik said, but did it while i had the towers out to re-set them lower... just find a mate who can weld good, shouldnt cost you to much...

i had a mate that used chain an jack on a coily to straighten it, but they just bend again, u can use some rhs an cut an grind into shape of top off diff an weld on, it is normaly the long side of diff that bends, also check your trail arm mounts on diff i ripped mine clean off!

special tool..... i just used a punch to undo the lock ring! i thought the hardest part was get the screws out that lock it in place.....

hey,

yeah the seal that comes in the kit is different from a leafy, not to sure bout the bearing, cant remember.... i got my kit from CBC bearings, wasnt very $$ bot very hard to do either...

ull prob need to get custom trail arms on front an back, as you will twist them out of shape an they snap, also watch the mounts on the diffs, they rip off, did u change you panards, with 2.5 inch, it was bad on mine...

the dude that done mine said they had heaps of trouble pressing bushes in aswell, but not sure what they did, have you tryed putting them in the freezer over night to shrink the outter steel, iv done that befor with truck spring bushes!

i had kings in my coily when i had it, they flexed really well but are really soft i thought, but i got them second hand so they could of been made like that... hardest thing is getting front struts, some people sell you them an say they are for 2'' lift but are standard length with just the ring ...

just seal it up and if u driving through deep water like in comps or sumthin hook a cheap air compresser up to the breather hole to pressurise it! keeps it cool an wont let water in....

there was a zook around cessnock area for sale a little while ago, was an ex kicker promotion car, it had 4 15'' subs in it, the whole back was fibreglass, had low profile tyres, was pretty funny, could of bounced over rocks! lmao

id be keen as i have two nt zooks sitting int he backyard! also there is a 4wd park near newcastle that would be good for a compitition like this, nothing to crazy there, flat camping area, very cheap, think the owner charges 5 bucks a car per day, and think his only rule is not to take legal action ...
