The Rover Long is 27 spline. With a Salis center, you can go 30 spline all the way. I did this with a Dana60 30 spline locker in the Salis and custom axles, drive flanges and spindles (although others have done it with machined rover spindles). Standard Defender90 knuckles. My point is, your axle ...

Guess ill find out once i strip all the diffs ;) And yes my idea was to use 80 series knuckles as so i can use the longfield CVs So really ill have the stud choice as well as decent brakes. GUs yeah are strong but no where in the league of longs (in my opinion). Yes it will have custom axels. And ...

Tojo rear set up A low pinion rear is just as weak in reverse as the high pinion front  People need to learn how to drive.... A Salisbury/Dana 60 should have 35 spline. No point otherwise. The rear Salisbury in this truck has 35 spline because it is easy to convert. The front is only possible ...

It is Rainforest Portugal, the european version of the Rainforest Malasya (kind like the Outback Australia / Outback Morroco). It´s an anual event with competitors from France, Spain, Portugal, UK, Belgium... Finished 3rd, which is great, considering the truck is unfinished. Cheers great stuff h ...

Is there point to doing this?? Even with that one above, you can only go to 30 spline, which is much weaker than the Dana 60 center. It makes more sense to put a Toy center in the Rover axle with 30 spline. I really don´t think that makes any sense! With a Toyota center, your weakest link is the R ...

Halfhshafts and CV´s are standard AEU2522´s, so not worth it. This a ...

Thanks for your help! Will consider the Maxidrive solution and maybe give´m a call, although an expensive part like this wasn´t on my initial budget!! Will think about it but will probably go with the first option....not much fuss about it and it´s quite a bolt in setup (and a lot cheapper also)! ...

Normal series chrome balls are smaller on the inside than a coiller ball (Stage 1 excepted). Your only easy option would be to ring Mal story (Maxi-Drive). He makes chrome balls from 4340 (not too far off 300m - which is also known as 4340m) which are series-sized on the outside but 101FC-sized on ...

Salisbury front axle
Hi, I am in the process of putting a Salisbury front axle in my Defender! The plan is going Dana60 30 spline internals, with 1.3" 300M axles along with 30 spline LongField cv´s. However I would love to go full 35 spline in the front (already have a rear salisbury with Dana60 35 spline conversion), ...
ARB RD76
Hi,
I´ve been told there is an ARB RD76, which is a Rover locker, but a 30 spline version. However, can´t find it on the ARB pplications list. Can somebody advice me on this?
Thanks
