drr Thanks for the reply and offer of chain. I got hold of a low k chain this morning courtesy of local 4x4 wrecker and have already fitted it .I was able to fit it with just removing the rear cover. The old chain was nearly 50mm longer than the new one.So it was totaly stretched and stuffed.Luckily ...

I have the same lux and run 32"bighorn mud tyres,mine are on a -25 offset to stop scrubbing. To lift the front you can wind the torsion bars up about 40mm from stock is about the limit just keep in mind the angle of the cvs will be increased,to overcome this i installed a 1"front diff drop.The tyres ...

If you have standard suspension without lift you can fit 31 inch mud tyres.
I have an 01 lux with 2 inch suspension lift and negative off set rims and have 32 inch muddies, with no scrubbing after a bit of a trim of the inner front gaurds

I had the same prob when i put my new stereo in and from memory i cut the ariel wire from the new unit and extended both ends of the wire enough to go through dash and used cheap on/off swith. This cuts the power to the ariel and makes it go down.
