It's a solid axle 86 diesel dual cab.

Is it worth doing the xover steering if i'm going to put steer on it anyway?
If so what box and pump do i need?

86 hilux power steer

What's involved in putting power steer into this truck. Did any come out with it standard and if so is it just a matter of bolting on the pump and changing the box?

Homework on a LN65 hilux dual cab

Hi guys looking at buying an 86 dual cab lux. it's a 2.4 diesel with a g52 gearbox. the thing is in nearly new condition with only 182000 kms on the clock, complete factory toolkit and has been garaged all it's life. the things i'm worried about are it's a bit noisey in 5th gear, no power steer for ...

Mine was set up with the pinion pointed strait at the T/case, seemed to work OK, but without a torque rod thingy, you will bind the uni's under offroading conditions. (with the pinion pointed up you will bind the uni's easier under power as the uni's are already closer) What do you mean by bind the ...

Thanks any way redzook. By the way good drive. I don't know the track at all but the picks look great ...

I have wide track diffs and it looks as if the pads were set up at the same angle as the originals. BIG angles on both ends of the drive shaft!!!!!

Does anyone have pics of their angles?

Brad.

So do most people have their pinion angle close to the same as the drive shaft, so it's like a straight line?

Heard that the diff and tcase flanges were to be within a couple of degrees of each other.

SPOA Tail shaft angles

After ideas on tail shaft and pinion angles. I have a SPOA and i get vibrations when trying to sit on a constant speed. It doesn't seem to be there while accelerating or engine breaking. So i guess i could say it only does it when there is no load on the shaft. Does anyone have any ideas? Pics would ...

I have a spoa and 2 - 3 inches lift. It mainly vibrates on hard accelleration, is there any other way? and when there is no load on the shaft. Gentle accelleration and de-accelleration are o.k

What shafts are people running with big lift sierras? Mine are on big angles and vibrate and chew out unis at a fair rate. The transfer and pinnion angles look the same.

What's involved in fitting hilux shafts with the double unis on one end?

By the way, how do you post pics?

What is a Y60?

Looking at buying one but don't know much about them. How close are they to a GQ. It has a front axle seal leak. What is a fair price for these things. It has a 4.2 dieso and 5 speed, no air.

Any info would be great, thanks...
