You will need the following 1hdt parts to convert a 1hz to a 1hdt.

Head complete with injectors, cam etc.
Pistons & gudgeon pins (32mm pins)
Con rods (1hdt small end is 32mm, 1hz is 30mm)
Injector pump & all injector lines .

As for the block, the only diff is the 1hdt has a oil pressure feed ...

Read this too late as I have got one of these detriot lockers sitting in the shed for 12 months.
Bought new fitted new carrier bearing, then things went horribly wrong with the 75 ute. Did't end up fitting & sold ute.

Might try for sale forum.

The gear stick mount is the breather on the h55f. It does not have a seperate breather. There is only a ball end type seal at the top for the gear lever.
You may have overfull oil in the gearbox due oil transfering from transfer case into gearbox. This is very common in the h55f. Cause is the ...

Toyota CT26 Turbo

G'day all
Got an 80 series toyota turbo (1HDT) set up fitted to a 1HZ donk in my 75 series ute, it's currently running 10psi boost.
I am just about to fit an intercooler and was wondering what to increase the boost to.
I was thinking around the 14psi mark, don't want too high as the turbo may be ...

1HZ TD I/C oil cooler

A question for all you 1hz td i/c gurrus,

Is there any advantage fitting an external oil cooler to one of these donks or is the standard coolant cooled oil cooler sufficient.
I can understand it would be pointless in a std 1hz donk but when your running 15psi boost and things a getting very hot ...

Ryco are crap, made in indonisia where all the other cheap filters come from ie- sukura, osaka etc.
They brand it Ryco & charge a shit load for it.

Best filters (air, oil & fuel) to buy are donaldson, fleetguard & baldwin.

When it comes to diesel oil filters you can't get beter than fleetguard or ...

Fitted a turbo to my 75 ute with 1hz donk with 240,000 km on it.
Should have done it 200,000 km ago.

First thing to do is a compression check to make sure all pots are in good nick.

I fitted a toyota turbo off an 80 series 1HDT donk that threw a rod thru block. Picked it up from the wreckers ...

Forget the patrol diff, go for a CIG diff lock.
Very cheap & can DIY.

Go the whole hog & fit 3 rice burner BOV's, that way u can play a musical tune whilst cranking yourself when you see 30 psi on the boost guage!!!

I'm with bru21, the butterfly would taste great.

From these comments it sounds like not many of you have a clue about what happens to air when you compress it.
THE MORE YOU COMPRESS IT THE HOTTER IT GETS.(google "bernoulli's theorem")
Most stock turbos are generally efficient compressing air up to about 16 psi, what this means is that they do not ...

They have supplied you with the kit that is used for 1hz after market turbo, not factory turbo. I don't think denco even make a casting for that barrel intercooler to factory turbo.

Most ater market turbo kits for 1hz motors have the turbo outlet pointing pretty much vertically up. The factory ...

HZJ75 ute intercooler

Has anyone out there fitted a intercooler to a 75 series ute with turbo 1HZ donk.
75 series don't have much room up front for an air to air and not much room under bonnet either.
I am leaning towards air/water type as its a compact design under bonnet and they have smaller radiator.
I have heard of ...

1HD-T injector pump swap

Was wondering if anyone has fitted a 1HD-T injector pump onto a 1HZ turbo engine?
I have fitted & been running a 1HD-T turbo setup onto my HZJ75 but I stayed with the original injector pump, but now pump is getting pass its use by date.
I would like to use the 1HD-T injector pump as it has a boost ...
