definetly not

i have had heating troubles with my 80 series for the last year and a half till a put a shroud in the vechile. Any one that takes out a shroud has to be crazy.

P.S. even the 16 inch thermo the previous owner installed to fix the problem didn't help.

have you change the spark plugs to a heat range colder and closed the gap up to about 0.8mm. You should be running BP6EY NGK plugs for that motor. the other common problem is that you may have the wrong Ignition leads as gas needs special leads. if its a 2f engine it should be timed at 7deg for standard and 14 for gas and petrol or for gas only around 20deg works best. It sounds like you have problems with your vechiles carby though.
