enabling open scan 2 on a tx4400

Does anyone know how to enable the open scan 2 function on a tx4400? The book says that it can replace the group scan function, but that it had to go back to a dealer to be done. Is this true, or is there a simple trick to it?

ARB guys are saying bracket will be better. They say the tab would be aluminum and can bend and break easier than the SS bracket. Thoughts on that??

Tab or Bracked for UHF antenna mount on BB

Getting a TX4400 fitted to my pajero next week. But the alloy bar does not have a tab for the antenna. What do you guys think of getting a tab welded on verses using a stainless steel bracket?
