The LT-230 transfer case was used after they stopped using the TT95 with its more or less integral T case. Range Rovers stopped using the LT-230 circa 1989 and went to the Borg Warner. (This applies to the RRs sold in NA, I'm not real savvy with what LR sold down under- your market may have differed ...

There is a fellow Named Simon in Canada who put a 5.0 HO from a mustang in his 101FC, He is a pattern maker for aluminum parts so he cast up an adapter to hook the LT95 to the Ford V8. I think he might be willing to make more of them if there was a demand. He is/was a member of the Ottawa Valley ...

Wasn't there 2 different versions of the ARB 10 spline locker? One was easier to convert to 24 spline than the other? [edit] I forgot I had this file from ARB usa maybe it is helpful: Pre-1993 Land Rover factory 10 spline differentials are prone to two weaknesses that have been addressed by Land ...

That is a cool looking truck! I have a set of threashed IIA Wings/Fenders that I've always wanted to cut like the Australian Military Fenders but somehow IO've just not had the balls to do it, I just don't trust myself to eyeball it off a picture and get it proportioned right... Do you have access ...

EDIT - a few series guys in the US/Canada use chev rears in the rear and series rears up front - seems to work well for them. Those 1/2 ton Chevrolet pickup springs are really popular with the Toyota crowd in the US- I think that is where Timm Cooper etc. got the idea from- They are what he had on ...

Yes, that hump onm the side encloses the revers gears or something like that. It may be a problem. Depends on the clearance there- it is a fairly common swap for jeeps and FJ40s here in the states and I think the FJ's need to have the hump trimmed a tad. I don't know anyone who has done one in a ...

I guess I'll give it a try, I already have them so it won't cost me anything other than the time and effort. I can replace the Birfields with Longfields if they prove to be an issue. The track width looks to be perfect and upgrades to brakes are readily available here very cheaply. I can probably ...

FJ-40 axles under a series?

After reading up on all the Toyata to Rover axle case conversions: http://seriestrek.com/toyotadiffs.html and on here and elsewhere I am wondering, wouldn't it be more simple to swap FJ40/55/60 axles entirely under a Series? I'm pretty sure I've heard of it having been done I just can't find out ...
