no, if you disconnect the actuator the wastegate will stay open.. the actuator holds the wastegate closed and opens when the set boost is reached

ok been thinking up ways to run a 4.5 litre 1992 80 series on gas with a turbo. the gas system is an impco system which is not injected, just the normal gas setup.. should i run it blow through or suck through??the plan is to run max 8 psi. if its running on gas i'm guessing i won't need a unichip ...

thinking about injected gas for a 80 series 1fzfe cruiser and want to know if anyone has done an injected gas setup regardless of car.. noticed a kit on ebay, anyone done diy??
