Nah, it shouldn't create problems. I have been running a pod on my 16v vit for quite a while (took a lot of plumbing out for my supercharging project, as it was getting in the way) The pod is only temporary. The only thing that I found it bad, is that mine is not supported very well, and the pod ...

Btw, does anyone know if you can connect the existing four wire O2 sensor to a standard single wire one? I know that the four wire ones on the Vit, have a heater in them to get them up to temp faster, but there is still only one signal out, so I am wondering if I can just connect that to another ...

Enginer Stuttering / shuddering at 2300 rpm (vit)

My Vit seems to stutter or shudder at about 2300 rpm. It happens when my foot is at about 1/3 throttle. But goes away when I take my foot off or press it down full. I have an air fuel ratio meter in the car, and I can see the mixture going normal, none (i.e. when the engine is at vacuum), normal ...

Hi guys, After a 2 hour drive to Queenstown for some snowboarding last weekend, my oil has lost it's milky look and the catch can was overflowing with dirty water. I checked the radiator fluid again, and it still doesn't have any oil in it, and no water has been consumed. So this all leads me to ...

We did have a day out doing a 4wding course, but that was just driving up slippery slopes etc, littles puddles of water etc. But no full on water crossings. I can't think of anything places water could get into the engine, apart from the intake obviously, but I would have thought any water that got ...

Water in my engine oil

Hi, I was just having a quick check of my engine last night, and there seems to be water in my oil. (oil has gone milky) I checked the radiator and there is not oil present there, and it is not using any water. The engine is running fine, and I haven't noticed any power issues or funny sounds. So I ...

Sorry to hijack the thread a little. But I am just wondering why you are specfically wanting to put an auto box in with the CA18DET? I have always preferred manual, and I always though manual was better for 4wding.... then again, I have only been 4wding myself for a year or so, so I may be missing ...

You can just buy the oil from Toyota, I emailed them a while back, and it was only $12 for 50ml, not the outrageous $50 or more people had been talking about. You are meant to be able to substitute it for something else, but I searched around, and couldn't find out what is was. So it would be ...

No more bearing movement!!! Well, hopefully not enough for them to fail me again on the warrant. So yeah, I ended up getting ...

Thanks for that, its given me hope that it is possible. I went to the mechanic today to see if he had time, and he said 'umm, maybe end of next week', so that's useless. So I might get an impact driver and see what happens, otherwise, drill it out and hope it works. I might post a pic tonight, to ...

Hi, I was trying to tighten my wheel bearing nut, but before I could to it, I had to remove a round plate that covers it. Secured with four screws. (I have a 93 Vit). I put some S13 springs into the back of my LWB Vitara, and I got about 20mm of lift. So they may be too soft for a LWB, I did some rough checks of the spring rates, by loading the back with about 65kg of weights, and the S13 spring rates are softer than the stock LWB ones. So that will account for ...
