Re: Water to air intercooler
Yeah it's unbelievable the difference in flow for eg: cummins 6bt ve rotary in a case dozer These are tested with by memory 027 orifice plate injectors and if you use 12sd12 test injectors There will be a massive difference in fueling I think it was 20-30 cc's difference and the cummins Runs a multi ...

Re: Water to air intercooler
What I am getting at is when people quote there pump was set to 120cc's of fuel delivery it would most probaly be set on 12sd12 150 bar test injectors and not actual fuel flow at the nozzle which is used in the vehicle For example 1hdft uses 87cc's of fueling at 1800 pump rpm to produce 125 ...

Re: Water to air intercooler
There is some serious issues if you need 60PSi to burn 120CC of fuel. 120CC of fuel in a well intercooled/turboed TD42 will yield 150RwKw all day on 35" tyres at 23-27 Psi with good safe AFR's. Which equates to around 200RwHp, its a very common upgrade fuel figure which always yields the 150RwKw ...

Re: 4.2 Injector pump for Big HP
On further thought that would not work so well. You need better material for the crank if you stroke it,the stresses on it are tremendous once you start spinning it with big heavy pistons, throw lots of boost and fuel at it then take it all out at one end with big sticky tyres. Aren't the Brian ...

Our temps were done with Motec sdl3 , e888 expander and exposed tip thermo couples ( quick to respond )
I can run 9 thermocouples all up plus all the other sensors . It is handy as I can log about 7 hrs of data , (16mb of logging)

Remove the fuel cut solenoid , take the plunger and spring out of the solenoid then reinstall if the engine will then run it is a solenoid problem , obviously you wont be able to shut it off with the key but this is a good check as it elimnates electrical and mechanical if it dosn't run well then ...

Re: TD42 show me yur intake manifold.
As for the 30 temp spread , not worried at all as this is a really good figure and actually could be caused by restriction in exhaust manifold , eg pressure drop causes energy loss (temp increase) it is very interesting to see what temp you have at each cyl and then at pre turbo on the std exhaust ...

Fuel spread can also cause temps to vary between cylinders , whether its pump or injectors flowing different amounts .

As RD Meantioned the dual mass flywheel can give these symptons rough idle and as soon as you give it a blip on the throttle it stops shaking returns to idle and then starts shaking like a mo-foe, you can also hear the clutch/flywheel rattle upon start up which is a good sign. Is there engine light ...

Definitely have nothing to prove though, just doing it to see if it can be done. Power out at 5500,6000rpm isnt unheard of for a diesel. But not an OEM diesel . VW golf revs to every bit of that with their 1.9l eui system, It is going to be very hard to get a td42 to rev to that and make power due ...

You could make a 2 stage boost control for the compensator with a simple
air toggle and needle valve . Also how would you use pyro to limit fuel or
does the e-boost have a amplifier for the k type probe?

So the short version of that is. If you use your car everyday for real life purposes such as towing, beach trips, driving to the shops, taking the kids to school. A good fast spooling turbo and standard pump setup that can still achieve 150+kw atw would be preferable having the pump modified to ...

They run a bosch injector, they also use 90 to 120 v to lift then drop back to a lower votlage 12v or so , and when they switch off they store the energy from the solenoid to use again . so the 5 injection cycles you oviously cant see by eye (looks like one injection). Motec sound promising in ...

Good cyl head porting will cost close to $300 / cyl
On a cast iron head . You will pay $200/cyl for a alloy head
And man your fuel pump is cheap ! I might have to get you
To do my pumps at that cost!
