im trying to buy some rims for my new muddies. i just bought some rims and the offset seems to be pos 3, what are these rims for? the rims on my car seem to be neg 6, this doesnt seem right either? for a fj40 the off set is meant to be neg 28 right? whats the easyest way to measure the offset ...

what seat will fit in rear of fj40?

i have some of the original rear seats that come in the lx models but they are too wide to fit my roll bars around them.

does anyone know what other seats will fit easily between the wheel arches without to much fabrication?

fj40 fuel return line (which one)?

i have a 350chev in my fj40lx and seem to be having fuel problems, does anyone know which fuel line comming out of the tank is the return and which is the supply?

i cant seem to find a diagram in the service manual anywhere.

hey im in croydon aswell, no it has ironman leaf springs that are load carrying ones and ironman shocks aswell.

im going to get some new shockers for the front as the back seems much better now.

ok sounds like i dont have to rush out and spend 2gs on a arb air locker then, fewww.

just aswell i have a winch, i guess im going to learn quickly how to use it.

ok i got the coil springs out of the back a couple of days ago and all seems well.
the ride in the rear has softened alot and the over all ride seems better.

the front is still hard, im going to try some softer shockers in the front to try to loosen it up.

no lsd or locker, should i be worried

i just bought my first 4x4, a LX fj40 with a 350 chev 4sp box.
being new to 4x4 should i be worried that i dont have a lsd or locker?

going on my first off road drive in a couple of weeks and want to have as few a problems as possiable.

any advise would be great.

i just had my car to outback 4x4 and they did some work on my fj40 82mdl and they told me that my swivel hub bearings and seals have gone. they quoted me $800 to replace the bearings and seals and a wheel alingment. is this price ok as it seems a bit heigh and the bill they gave me for the other ...

im about to take the coils out as i think they might stress the chassis rail too much where its not ment to. i have ironman shocks, does anyone know if these are a really hard type of shock. As that may explain why the front is really hard considering the front doesnt have coils aswell. are there ...

i just bought a shorty 40 82mdl it has a very stiff ride and it has coil springs on top of the leaf springs. is this normal for this model? can i just pull the coil springs out to give it a softer ride? also i need to get a roll bar for it is there anywhere to buy these of the shelf? thanks for any ...
