Re: jimny to monster.

Ran 32's, 4in suspension + 3in body lift, minimal cutting, Sierra box with Rockhopper Series 3... no dramas, still pretty stable, no breakages, good fun :D

Re: engineers cert for jimny

Jump on over to the Victorian Suzuki 4WD Club... they will know.

I have mine eng' certed on 235's with a 50 + 50 lift in NSW. Do make sure you get a steering dampner fitted, they tend to wander badly once you lift them - bump steer is a big issue

In case you are still interested:

50mm suspension lift = 215's
50mm suspension lift + 50mm bodylift (Series 1 only) = 235's

Cool... thanks guys. I will spend some time going back over the wiring loom and if I can't find anything I will go back to the switch light.

I may be selling the Jimny soon, want to make sure everything is kosher before I do.

Bogged... yeah it lights up when the headlights are on or compressor is on... Want33s... runs via a relay.

Installed it myself following the instructions to the letter, only thing I didn't do was hook up lockers. Worth placing another fuse directly on the wire to the plug as a precaution?

Hot compressor switch?

Had to drive long distance last night, and whilst flicking high beam on and off... my hand was near my compressor switch (ARB kit).

Noticed it was pretty damn warm. It's been in over a year... is this normal? :?

Go plastic... I have an Airtec, easy as pie to fit and is strong. Originally had a fibreglass one and all you do is fix knocks and cracks.

See below: I've just found out that for up to a 50mm suspension lift, you can just adjust them as per the info below. After that, you need a spacer to bolt between the bracket on the diff and the 'keeper plate' that anchors the bottom of the spring. Dimensions for this spacer (metal block) are: 40mm ...

You have a Series 1 and you are experiencing the 'Series 1 Hiccup'. This is due to a faulty crank angle sensor, which will need to be replaced. In the meantime, when it happens (generally in top gear at around 90-110kph) just push your clutch pedal in, tap the accelerator twice then release the ...

I suggest you run out and get the latest issue of 4wd action, it contains a Jimny buyers guide. Series 1 had the G13BB (not the good motor), transfer lever and no airbags. Series 1.5 has the M13A (good motor), transfer lever and no airbags. Series 2 has the M13A but airbags. I think series 3 might ...
