A bit of a fiddle, a few choice words and some Inox and its fixed for the time being. When I get more time I will pull the lot apart. There ...

Air Con pulley bearing stuffed
3.0 v6 99 Triton. The bearing in the pulley on the front of the compressor is stuffed. Still works but makes a hell of a noise. Took the belt off and I can rattle the pulley from side to side. Can the pulley be taken off without removing the unit?.If so, how. Or does the comp need to come out ...

The 2 hour job that took 7
A bit of background first. My 99 Triton v6 3litre petrol was getting a little sad. 280k on the clock, blowing smoke, using oil like a 2 stroke and missing badly under load. Can't afford a new one untill the kids finish school in 6 years. So a month ago I went and got a 2nd hand donk with 120k on the ...

Hi Blue I see you are in Brisbane. I had the same problem with my 6g72 in the 99 triton. 300k, chewing oil, blowin smoke and missin badly under load. A quote of 4grand to rebuild it. So I hunted around and found a couple of 120k to 150k motors at the wreckers. Bought 1 for $1200 at the wreckers at ...

99 dual cab work truck. 3.0 petrol. 230,000ks and still going strong. Its like most units, how much fuel you use depends on how heavy your foot is. Its done all the sand from North Straddie to Rules beach. Out past Cunnamulla blowing away feral animals. Havent been bogged yet. Although the last trip ...
