all right fellas heres an update + i have a question.
1st the update , turbos farked & so is the injector pump maybe , shes leakin bigtime...
turbo has been rebuilt after i re fit should i start it or wait until pump is done ?????

all right , removed circlip dropped off arm & still couldnt move the waste gate even with multigrips. dropped off dump pipe then removed back of turbo that has the waste gate on it have freed it up & have it soakin in some wd at the moment... with having A jammed open waste gate what will it cause ...

no offence taken at all mate , for some reason i kept gettin logged out while writing & all that id written was being deleted , so that was the 3rd time i wrote it & yeah i express myself much better in person... will a ct 26 turbo be an easy replacement for my safari if it is shagged or is it not ...

i had the same prob in my 80 ,
& it was the prop/valve leaking
but i also had a couple of siezed pistons so its always good to check...

Since then I have replaced glow plugs , All the ends are all smashed off They are 2/3rds the length of new . Injectors 1 of them had its own nozzle wrapped around itself & yes I was still driving daily for 3 elks before I did the inj... I only just done my glow plugs The tensioner spring for the ...

I was using multigrips but also air it should actuate at 7 I gave it 100 & all it was doing is bending the bracket... I'll give ya the whole story , To much oil steep climb out the breather fed the turbo , Luckily a mtr from the top , Full noise won't shut off won't stall running on oil... Luckily ...

so would i now that i know they are NOT worth the money i payed for them and i would happily go back to the maxxis big horns that i had (they were a much better tyre) mate weve all thrown away coin to learn what road we need to go down ... i agree the bighorns have great wear in comparison to mtz's ...

get federals . they are a touch dearer but alot better than any of those X2 on the Federals. Nice and aggressive for offroad andhave decent road holding. Genuine toyota, every time, the bushes arnt cheep but they flex more the nolathane and there is plenty of 80s out there with over 500,000 on the original bushes. If you want to save money, use nissan GQ at the diff end, they fit and are $25ea cheeper than the toyota. Buddy cheers bud for the info ...

couldnt get rubber , rang around & everyone uses the poly ones , so i questioned what id heard about em chewin to pieces they all replied the same "because they are the ones for chassis end they reckon they dont chew out like they do in the diff end" so i bought these ones.. http://www.ebay.com.au ...

All done was able to lever arm down enough to get the old bushes out , & the new ones in . Cheers for the tips mapp gas onto the rubber & slicing with the Stanley was probably the hardest part of the whole job . Pedders said $345 supply & fit ,$80 just the bushes. I bought the bushes on feebay for ...

dont think theres a choice mate. you will have to remove the arms. ive done patrol ones before and just removed one arm at a time. the patrol bushes where metal outer case with rubber inner. i set my mapp gas / blow torch onto the rubber. it melted enough to just push the rubber out of the outer ...

its the first time im buying one mate, just got rid of the old safari snrkel and now have a custom made one, so i have 3inch pipe i need to fit the pod to, but just wasnt sure if thats the "flange" diamater k & n at the top of ya snorkel will probably get flogged you'd be better off with a cheap ...

^^^^ What coxy said. As for the probe in the dump vs manifold, I know in the manifold is more accurate, but I think 99% of people run them in the dump pipe anyway. It comes down to what you want a pyro for. If you just want another gauge, then in the exhaust is fine, but if you want it for tuning ...
