Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi All,

Finally getting back into the 4X4 scene, looking at purchasing a 98-01 Jackaroo V6. Any major issues to look out for ? I've driven a few now seems quite nice to drive plenty of power, only pitfall seems to be brakes feel a little light on. would like to know of any issues etc eith these.

Just did a lil upgrade on my worn out GQ drivers seat, I bought on ebay 3 Nissan Silvia seats to install, was waiting on a mate to weld em up some brackets. I thought I'd try pull one apart and install the cushion section under the GQ fabric. Perfect fit didn't have to weld anything, has nice side ...

Anyone priced up a J pipe ? anyone actually using one ? Iknow they use these on FWD cars.

Does the MTQ one have a T3 flange ?

Just curious how much over 25's are paying for full comp and 3rd party on there GQ's and who with ?

I've got a an 89 mdl and went up from 450 to 750 for full comp.

I have one in perfect condition can be had for a small price

What are the std specs on these motors ? What kind of hp do mild mods make eg cam heads carb exhaust ?

I meant more along the old three C's rule carby, cam and compression. I haven't read on here of anyone changing carb or altering compression.

How much to dyno a car TB42s with duel fuel ?

Any pics of a turboed carby TB42 on gas or dual fuel ? Would one use a top hat for that ?

Any bosch plugs you would recommend ? I get a staff discount there.

I'm on the hunt for more HP with few $$$ thought they might be onto some other mods.

What plugs do you guys recommend, I've got a carby TB42 with electronic ignition running duel fuel.

They don't sound like v8's or turboed these ones, they're swb do burnouts and drifts, just curious if it was anything beyond exhaust and extractors.

Spent a bit of time looking on youtube and came across a fair few NA powered GQ's drifting, any idea what mods they do to there motors to get this kind of power ?

My fuel pump is leaking like a sieve, the cost of a replacement is close to $300 has anyone used the after market electric fuel pumps in place ?

Anyone got a link or information on the electrical side of this conversion ?

I'm already running the manual but still have the neutral park switch sitting in my engine bay, how do i re wire this and I believe the carby has a TPS do i just disconnect it ?

Wanted to find out opinions on different types of extractors and 2.5" exhaust systems for a TB42. I've heard Pacemaker are the go, but is there much difference between the brands ?

Others have said go the 2.5" and don't bother with the extractors, can anyone clarify ?

There's a mob advertising buy it now delivered for $220 anywhere in OZ, anyone tried these or know if they're any good ? They don't advertise the brand apparently aussie made

can you post a link to the instructions on how to by pass the lockup ? I've got a convertor that has been doing it's own thing for the last 18 mths, is it ok to do as long as your not towing ? I use stockies for daily use.

Anyone else have any issues with 3rd gear popping out all the time, someone mentioned it might be the wrong oil.
Usually pops out when you back off the gas.
