my drover had huge death wobbles when i brought it.

I put new tyres on it and the wobbles were gone. i may have been bad tread wear causing it also?? just a thought?

im for making your own.

ive got a sheet of plate here and plan on making mine real soon.

just get a card template and trace onto metal. grab the jigsaw and cut away.

that said. checker plate isnt the cheapest thing floating around. i got mine for free ;)

last carby 13b's were made in the rx5...that means its a pretty old engine.30 odd years of wear on plates and housings.

id never buy a secondhand rotor engine.seen way to many explode over the years. all of mine were new out of the box builds. big money but ya get what ya pay for in rotors.

the 1.3/2.6 argument has been goin on for years on the rotary forums.

its been like it for years and will be for years to come.

pretty much its a way to disadvantage the engine as it whoops anything of a similar size with ease in both power and torque.

82 f50 issues.

Hey guys.

a mate of mine has a 82 f50 and has kinda destroyed his transfer case.

now we are after a cheap easy fix.

swap gearboxes?

change transfers?

rebuild transfer?

other options?

any help/advice is most appreciated.

or if anyone has any parts they'd donate/sell let me know.

250 for custom is probably cheaper than what the off the shelf ones are gonna cost.

id go with the custom ones that way you know they arent gonna hit anywhere and wont need further moding

i went from 26 inch tyres and SPUA on my drover to 31's and SPOA in a weekend and it actually drives and rides better with the 31s

no noticeable difference with the 26 and SPOA cept it looked gay :roll:

you dont have to drop the steering shaft....just be careful when removing.

mine took maybe 15 mins cost me 25 bux from the wreckers.

i found it much easier to go out and buy new rims when i wanted some decent offset. for the 55 bux a rim i paid for my 15x8's its alot less screwing around than chasing 2nd hand f100 rims.
