Where is it mounted in your vehicle? I've noticed some moisture in the hoses in mine in certain conditions but thankfully nothing detrimental!

Re: Engel portable power supply?
I've got an old Optima D31 that only holds 12.5V charge sitting in the garage at home. Over Christmas, I wired up some clips and a cig socket, connected an Engel 60 full of beer/wine onto it and left it running under my back verandah and I got 5 days out of it! I was surprised how long it lasted ...

Picked up some Purple Metal Polish from Bursons the other day and gave it a crack. Pretty happy with the result so far (half a clean side step)!

Cleaning Aluminium Checker Plate
Looking for a product to get the checker plate on my side rails and rear bar sparkly clean again.
Anyone got any suggestions, or should I go with the Mothers Aluminium Polish or Meguirs Aluminium Polish?
Was also thinking that there would probably be some truck products I should look at aswell?

3 inch exhaust with a straight through muffler seconded.. 3 inch with the longest straight thru that'll fit on mine, has a throaty rumble but is quiet at the same time.. perfect! I'll third that aswell. I got a custom job with a straight thru and it's pretty quiet, but you do get a nice note out of ...

What I am looking at doing is setting up a battery charger in the garage so that I can top up the second battery overnight to ensure that my food/drinks stay cold during the day/s. Am I missing something? WHy can't you just plug your fridge into the 240 when you put the car in the garage each night ...

Thomas is another brand of winch. It might just be that the solenoids have been replaced with Thomas solenoids somewhere along the line.

Re: Best place to buy auxillary battery from online?
Have a look at battriesdirect.com.au I bought a optoma yellow D34 from the for $322 bucks, cheapest I could find. Went to my local batteryworld and they quoted $420 for the same battery. That's a great price for a D34! I bought one a few weeks ago and paid $350 for a D34 and $360 for a D31A which ...

I've got an Auscruise system in my 1Hz 100 series and it works a treat, but they aren't cheap.
Looking at their website http://www.autron.com.au" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; they do one for the 70 series which you think would be the same for the 76.

They are a bastard to trouble shoot.
I had a problem with mine (wouldn't turn on) years ago. I ended up rewiring it from the motor back to the stalk.
Was heaps easier than trying to find where the fault was.

6.6 dB gain is considered a high gain which transmits a narrow beam (no good for mountenous terrain).
For an "all rounder" I would be looking for around a 4.5dB.

Opitma yellow top. They are a dual purpose battery with both deep cycle and high cranking properties.
