Re: Viscous coupling 80 series

Hi guys, I have recently bought a 40th anniversary 80 1HDFT with the viscous coupling, with fitting the switch will the centre diff lock engage in high range ?
I noticed when in low range the abs was disengaged, will this happen in high range with the switch activated ?

Re: Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4 door

Thanks for the reply jeepjk. The more I research the JK Wrangler, the more Questions I have ? I have been on the ausjeepoffroad website, and most of the guys on there love their jeeps, but I would also like an unbiased opinion. It appears that the Rubicon only comes in a petrol, and I've read very ...

Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4 door

Hi guys, I 've been looking at buying a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, and not knowing much about Jeeps, I thought I would ask owners instead of sales men what their thoughts are on these ? What is the fuel consumption on the 3.6 litre Pentastar like ? What size lift do I need to fit some bigger rubber, ie ...

Hey Oldmate did you fit a part time kit to your cruiser. I'm thinking of doing the same thing, after changing my drive flanges and cv's twice in the last 3 years now.

I ended up replacing the radiator and thermostat.
Its all sweet now :D

The old radiators tubes were blocked up a bit reducing the flow and not working efficiently.

I run 35 x 12.5 x 15 MTR's with a 2 inch lift and 30mm coil spacers and they only just touch on the rear, but on the front they rub when flexed up, and bind my steering.
I'm looking at putting in a 4 inch lift, and extended bump stops .

They weren't for a Cruiser, they were for an old holden, so the price would be different.
I was very happy with the price , quality of his product and his customer service.

give Rod a call at Maximun Performance Headers on (02)42717820

or 0413745661 or go to www.maxheaders.com.au

I bought a set from him for another project and his headers are one of the best quality Aussie made one around.

I ran 5.29's in my Lux for a while.
They came out in Toyota Stouts, the gearing was great with 35's but the pinions are alot weaker than other hilux ratios.

Its better running 4.88's, they're heaps stronger.

the money I have spent on cv's in the last 12 months I could have already paid for a set of these :x

How much stronger are they than the 27 spline :?:

Are anyone breaking 30 spline aswell yet :?:

Joel, Without a doubt this will be steering orientated rather than the tyres themselves and more likely caster than toe. Remember all the suspension mods that you have made will have affected caster and the hilux wasn't originally designed with bias tyres in mind. Take it to a truck aligners to get ...

The lux in question is mine, after reading the replies here and talking to a couple of people it very well could be the dampner and the wheel alignment (tie rod is slightly bent) ill recitfy these probs first and see if it makes a difference.
