are you looking at carrying 1 or 2 spares? if only carrying 1 you won't want directional tyres... I have a set of 33" claws and are smaller than the 33" BFG muds (had them), try a set and see if they fit. Because of the claws tractor type pattern they tend to slew a little. MTR's are a good touring ...

superchargers do offer smoother power early in the rev range - also they offer either a constant or exponential boosting, also they do not complicate the exhaust system as a turbo. from what i understand they are various complications applying a turbo to engines larger than 3.0L and generally better ...

255/70 15R - this is an oddball size works out to be about 29x10x15.
You could however buy this truck new with an "offroad" wheel pack giving you 31x10.5x15.

13L/100kms that is good - i get about 15L/100kms
8000lb winch is perfect not too heavy you could also upgrade to plasma rope to further reduce weight - on a lowmount you need to be careful of the winch drum heating the rope.

a d/c drive shaft allows smoother operation than a regular shaft - also the d/c has a longer operating life due to lesser operating angles generally used for very short drive lines. depends what you want to do - touring or more interested in getting the most ability out of the car.
I have OME gear in my hilux for touring and it works well (no fade over rough roads) - too much flex makes the vehicle unstable at speed.

BFG Muds to Radial Claws
interested in changing to radial claws (33x12.5) from BFG muds same size - keen to hear about experiences between the 2 tyres.
I am a little concerned about the lateral traction of the claws - as the tyres are being mounted to a jeep wrangler; short wheel base problems.
thanks

3.5" lift is a good starting point - SYE not required reasonable articulation and relatively cheap. - Rubicon Express do an excellent kit. Don't be tricked into anything else. This allows fitting of up to 33" tyres - but best suited (visually) to 32's. Once the lift increases to 4" a SYE is required ...

Best friend has a v6 4 runner (manual) it pushes 32 muds easily. keep away from the commodore engines - cannot handle water and overheat at low revs. - for a touring car as close to standard is best for reliability.
